Overrated

Here we have a huge collab filled with many video game spriters. I do like sprite work -- don't get me wrong -- it's just that I only really like artists who use their own original sprites (ie not ripped from existing video games). In this case of this collab, not only did several of the participants use sprites directly (or entirely based off of) from existing video game sprites. Yes, I understand that it is a video game parody, however, I feel I must point out that this sort of thing has been done countless times on this website. I want to see originality come from you guys, not just the same old thing.

I loved her expression as the poor old guy made her feel more and more uncomfortable. I'm sooo showing this to the girl I'm dating tomorrow. Kudos.

It's okay

For a monologue it turned out pretty well. The overall character animation was lacking. The cartoon mostly consisted of the camera panning or zooming from side to side on a still-shot. You did an okay job of presenting the whole thing. The timing of some of the guy's movements when in sync with this monologue was dead on. For example, when he touched her shoulder for the first time it fit in perfectly with his speech.

You ought to work on some more overall character animation. For the most part it is noticably choppy. Try drawing two key poses for a character movement and work in some inbetweens. Also, consider finding additional voice actors. While the girl's body language served as a decent response, the overall movie seemed to be one sided with the guy only talking. For instance, she could try say something, but he obviously cuts her off or something. There is a crew of talented voice actors and actresses that offer their services for free so as long as you give credit to them in one way or another. They have a webforum at www.voiceactingclub.com I recommend giving them a visit before you begin your possible future projects.

On a final note. That guy reminded me of myself of a few years back. What a horrible reminder of how pathetic I was... =(

Fast paced.

A very quick cartoon. Nicely done and all that jazz. I have a question, however, why does year on the copyright that is displayed on the bottom of the screen state "MMVIII" (2008)? It's still 2007!

Nothing like a mirror to brighten your morning.

This was a really nice satire. I like how you took a stab at egoraptor's Awesome Crapulation series. I'm glad to see someone explosing how little effort is put in his animations. I've been wanting to poke some fun at him for while, but I haven't found the time to work on any side projects, This will suffice. Although you did include it ine one or two parts throughout the movie, you should have mentioned that cock jokes are a NG Staff favorite and that you're guarenteed to make front page when they see them.

I'd recommend not making a sequel, based on the fact that this is just a satire. Making a series of these would make you no different than the other cheap animators. We wouldn't want that now would we?

[[2007] REBOOT 9]

The best thing I've seen all year.

This here is a true piece of workmanship. Every episode, you draw us deeper and deeper into the story. You have a phenomenal taste in music and style. There is so much detail put into each scene. Subtile hints and messages scattered throughout the entire series giving enough information to catch a glimpse of what is to come.

For all of those who are just now being introduced to this wonderful series, I highly recommend browsing through and watching all eight previous episodes before passing any sort of opinion regarding this movie. This series is too good to shrug off as another flash submission. These animations are in a genre entirely of its own, and Jon Martin should have every bit of recognition equal to the amount of effort that he has placed into this, which is safe to say, A WHOLE LOT!
